KeCrypt Explore Partnerships in China
John Dale, KeCrypt System’s Managing Director, has recently returned from an e-security trade mission to China. The purpose of the mission organised by UK Trade & Investment was to understand the status of the e-security market in China and build awareness of UK capability by presenting two selected leading British companies (KeCrypt and Sophus), an academic institution (Kent University), and a trade association (International Association for Biometrics).
The format of the mission was two seminars – one in Shanghai and one in Guangzhou, with a number of visits to Chinese companies in the security market. KeCrypt Signature was demonstrated on many occasions because of the interest generated. Everyone who tried was very impressed when their signatures, using Chinese characters, were recognised, yet forgeries by their colleagues rejected.
The language independence of KeCrypt Signature is a function of looking at ‘how you sign’ rather than ‘what you sign’. KeCrypt engaged with a number of interested companies with a view to collaboration – to embed KeCrypt Signature verification into applications for the China market and to jointly develop new products to market worldwide.
