Formic embeds KeCrypt Signature verification into e-forms and mobile device form
January 2006
Formic, the class-leading provider of data capture solutions has partnered with KeCrypt Systems to embed KeCrypt’s Signature verification software into Formic’s e-forms and mobile device forms.
Anna Muskett, Formic Partner Manager, said “Kecrypt’s biometric signature authentication provides a new level of security to our mobile solutions, ensuring that critical data is only submitted by authorised individuals. I was surprised to learn, first-hand, that a person’s signature is a remarkably reliable indicator of their identity - as unique and individual as a thumbprint.”
Capturing business information at source is efficient, cost-effective and accurate. Formic’s e-forms and mobile device forms extend the reach of a business process to the mobile user. It only takes a few clicks of the mouse to design an electronic form and deploy to the web or any number of mobile devices. E-forms incorporates validation rules, hence all inbound information is pre-processed during form completion.
Jon Keating, CEO of Formic, said “More and more of our customers are looking to transition away from paper-based processes. Scanning a business document to extract data electronically is much less efficient than capturing the data electronically at the front-line. The increase in interest is driven heavily by compliance and the desire to improve business efficiency. In that respect, identity verification is a key requirement.”
KeCrypt’s Signature verification software written as a Microsoft .NET object quickly and easily integrated with Formic’s e-form and mobile device forms. By provision of user authentication KeCrypt provides Formic with the added value of auditable workflow to data capture.
John Dale, KeCrypt Systems Managing Director, said “Formic have a growing worldwide user base that is capturing business information on electronic and mobile forms. We are pleased to provide additional value to their solutions.”
